Alongside her husband and music director of Postmodern Jukebox, Jesse Elder and Blanca produce, compose, arrange and record music of all genres. Some of their recent creations include collaborations with singer songwriters like Cristina Gatti, Hannah Gill, heavy metal string quartet SEVEN)SUNS as well as original productions. The husband and wife duo, known as 1in2, can also perform live entertainment. Their repertoire consists of a wide range of genres, from the Beatles to Debussy toNirvana to you can listen and be entertained by this violin, piano and sometimes vocal duo.

Classically trained since the age of four, Blanca Cecilia has studied traditional classical repertoire in the National Conservatory of Colombia, LaGuardia High School, Mannes College of Music Preparatory Division, Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and the Juilliard School. Blanca has been teaching private violin lessons, coaching ensembles and teaching master classes in performance and improvisation for the past 15 years.

Musiquita

As a bilingual Spanish-English family with two young children, Gonzalez and Elder make learning engaging and enjoyable. Sharing their own experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment, Blanca and Jesse present easy ways to incorporate other cultures into your family’s everyday life. Musiquita! primarily focuses on Spanish and English tunes, but will also include glimpses into other world cultures. Traditional, modern and original compositions are all highlighted in Musiquita! appealing to a wide range of taste and energy levels.
